Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt ground
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper crushed
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • ½ teaspoon Chinese 5 spice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon caster sugar

Instructions

  • Measure all the ingredients.
  • Add to a bowl and mix well.
  • Use immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For 500g chips: Start with 3 teaspoons of seasoning and add more to taste.
For 500g chicken: Start with around 2 teaspoons and add more if needed.
Storage: Keep in a clean, completely dry airtight jar in a cool cupboard. For the best flavour, use within 6 months and check the best-before dates of the individual spices.
