Gluten Free Bacon & Cheese Turnovers (Greggs Copycat)
These gluten free bacon and cheese turnovers are a copycat recipe of the Greggs wrap… without the gluten! Gooey melted cheese and smoky bacon enveloped in a puff pastry square. Perfect for a comforting afternoon snack!

- 1 sheet Just Rol gluten free puff pastry
- 6 rashers bacon
- 150 g mild cheddar cheese Can be substituted for dairy free
- 30 ml soya milk Can be substituted for any plant based milk
Pre-heat oven to 190˚C fan / 210˚c electric / gas mark 6.
Grill or fry the bacon for a few minutes until it is lightly cooked or to your preference. It will finish cooking in the oven once it has been added to the pastry.
Cut the pre-rolled pastry sheet into 6 equal sized squares.
Place a bacon rasher diagonally on each pastry square.
Sprinkle a generous handful of the grated cheese over each rasher of bacon.
Milk wash the corners of the pastry with a pastry brush and fold into the middle, pressing firmly so they stay in place whilst cooking in the oven.
Brush all over the exposed pastry with the milk wash, this helps the pastry to have a crispy golden brown finish whilst cooking.
Place the turnovers on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper, leaving enough space for them to puff out a little.Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden and the cheese has melted.
